Completion of the pilot test and evaluation of the visual story scripts

The satisfaction evaluation from the pilot test of the scripts and the visual stories, created within the framework of the PASS4Autism project with the participation of a total of 60 parents/caregivers and 60 therapists of individuals with ASD in Greece, Italy and Spain has been completed!

These pilot scenarios were based on the findings and results of pilot studies carried out with the participation of parents and therapists of autistic individuals in each partner country (Greece, Italy, Spain).

Participants were asked to review 42 different visual stories that were created according to 4 different age categories (2-5, 6-9, 10-12, 13-17) and addressed to 3 different user profiles, as defined by the scientific literature:

Level 1: support required
Level 2: substantial support required
Level 3: very significant support required

The 42 visual stories are related to certain social skills involved in various activities of daily life, designed according to the most important needs and characteristics expressed by families and professionals, and divided by age categories and profiles.

After viewing the visual material, the participants evaluated it by completing a short questionnaire and recorded their observations, which will be considered for the optimization of the Visual Story Creation Tool. The tool which is free of charge and can be used by many other parents and therapists in Greece, Italy, Spain, as well as in many other countries in Europe and worldwide.

Finally, it should be noted that the Support Network Tool is now on the PASS4Autism website! Users of the platform and the story creation tool can post their questions and share experiences with other users!
